Darling Hotel Bliss Guests,

Each day more and more girls are discovering and checking in to Hotel Bliss. To make it easier for you to meet girls and initiate friendships, we are bringing back the fun and wonderful Slumber Party Game to the Hotel.

How does the game work?

First, to qualify for participation in the game, you must email me the answer to ONE of the following questions by next Friday, November 21st. (Please email me within the hotel by CLICKING HERE) :

1. Describe a girl you have (or had) a crush on. What did you like about her? What qualities made her so attractive to you?
2. Describe a time a girl flirted with you. How did you know she was flirting? What did you do when you realized she might like you? (If this hasn’t happened, describe a time you flirted with a girl. What happened?)
3. Describe your dream night with a girl. Does she take you out for dinner? Do you cook for her? What happens after dessert? [This is a very powerful question... The more detailed you are the more likely this night will materialize.]

Second, each Monday I will post one of the answers I received and give you links to three girls’ pages at Hotel Bliss. You must guess who wrote the answer and give me your reason why you think she is the author. When I receive a correct answer, I will post another answer to a question…

There is no officially prize to win, although the game will introduce you to many new bi friends which may lead to some fabulous flirtatious fun. So join the party! E-mail me your answer by CLICKING HERE.

BISEXUAL SHORT STORY CONTEST IN OHIO

In honor of National Bisexuality Day September 23rd, The Bisexual Network of Greater Cleveland announce a Bisexual Fiction contest. The contest will officially open Tuesday September 23rd and close Tuesday December 23rd. Entrants can submit up to 3 short stories – no longer than 10,000 words each – based on a romantic/erotic relationship between 2 or 3 people. The central character MUST identify as Bisexual. No entry fee will be required. Open to all Ohio residents of any age, race, and sexual orientation. 1st place winner will receive $75, 2nd place $50, and 3rd place $25. Winners will be notified by February 2009.

SHALL WE PLAY A GAME? PART TWO

Darling Bliss Warriors,

Hotel Bliss is almost ready for its public launch. After months of hard work and tireless dedication from the Hotel Bliss Team, we are weeks away from the site being completed.

I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the amazing, beautiful, sweet girls who have taken time out of their busy lives to help test, use, develop, and create the first private community for bi and bi-friendly girls.

In the last month, I have been traveling a great deal, which is bad for consistent blog writing, but great for meeting the lovely women who have joined Hotel Bliss. In Toronto, I hosted a brunch with the marvelous, Gryphon (her Hotel Bliss alias). We posted ads on Craigslist, and many bi women came out to dine with us for community and conversation who were not familiar with the Bliss Warrior blog or Hotel Bliss. One of the highlights of the meal, was hearing Gryphon describe her experience using the blossoming site.

“One of the things I love,” she said, “is the diversity of women. There’s everyone from the young goth chick who’s super sweet to the joyful woman in her 40s bouncing on a ball topless. Everyone is super sweet. In fact, what is surprising about the site is how kind and friendly all the girls are to one another.”

Shortly after the brunch, I was delighted to see how many of the girls I met joined the site and became active members. One lovely blonde with the alias, Water Lily, has already organized two more events for bi-girls to meet in Toronto and is using the site to organize, plan, and keep the community growing.

In Los Angeles last week, the luminous Beverly Fairfax and I hosted a brunch where half the women were Hotel Bliss users and the other half were girls new to Bliss Warrior who found us through Craigslist or Myspace. This was the first time where women who had met online at the Hotel, got to meet one another in person. There is something funny when girls only know each other through aliases. When one gorgeous curly-haired fox was sharing a hysterically funny story, Beverly turned to her and said, “Are you Double Entendre?”

She said, “Yes, I am. You’re Beverly Fairfax, right? Hi!” Already online acquaintances, now they were becoming real life friends.

Later, when the brunch was ending and we were paying the bill, one of our new friends asked how we would all connect or stay in touch and I promoted the site. Right away, Beverly said, “One of the nicest aspects about the Hotel is how intelligent the girls are on the site. It is not just a kind community, but a thoughtful one, too.”

1. Next Monday, we are starting Round Two of Bliss Warrior’s Slumber Party Game (CLICK HERE to read more about the game). Round One helped many bi-girls to become new friends when they each answered the question, “What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?” Each day, I posted a naughty answer on the Hotel Bliss site with three names of girls who may have written the answer. Users had 24 hours to guess who they thought wrote the answer and why. When I posted the winner of the last game, I posted a new naughty answer with three new naughty girls. As one user wrote me during the game, “Hotel Bliss is changing my life - I’m not kidding!” I think she was delighted by the many girls who got to know and adore her gorgeous self after reading her naughty answer.

2. Round Two is a little different from Round One because you can choose to answer one of two questions. The first is, “Describe a first time.” A first time can be with a boy or a girl, it can be sexual or not. As long as it is a first time, it qualifies you for the game. The second question you can choose to answer is, “Describe a fantasy you have masturbated to.” Already, many girls have have written to me with their answers and are excited for Monday when the game begins.

BECAUSE SIMPLY SENSATIONAL SYBARITIC ASKED… RECIPE FOR RAW VEGAN VANILLA ICE CREAM

A couple of weeks ago I posted that I was making vegan ice cream out of coconut and cashews and the magical Sybaritic asked for the recipe. Well, in all of my craziness and travel, I did not get a chance to post this until now.

From the amazing cookbook, Raw Food, Real World by Kenney and Melngailis:

2 cups raw cashews, soaked in spring/filtered water for at least 4 hours (even better overnight)

2 cups coconut meat (yes, from the inside of a young Thai coconut - the ones with the white husks - 4-5 coconuts to be on the safe side)

1 cup filtered water

1 cup agave nectar

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Seeds of 1/2 vanilla bean or 2 additional teaspoons of vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon of sea salt

In a Vita-Mix or high-speed blender, blend all the ingredients until completely smooth. (You may have to stop the blender - scrap the sides and blend again. It should be as smooth as a thick cream.) Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator and then process in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Also good with a couple of fresh mint leaves and cacao nibs - mint chocolate chip!

THE NEW AND IMPROVED HOTEL BLISS BLOG EDITOR

Darling Bliss Girls,

Christian our brilliant programmer finally found the bug that was disrupting our new blog editor and it is FIXED!

We still recommend that if you are writing a long, detailed blog to make sure to save it to Word or another program and copy and paste it into the editor, just in case. Plus, to protect your privacy, Hotel Bliss does log you out automatically if you have not “used” the site. So protect your work and always save it so you do not lose any of your creative inspirations.

I ALSO HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND HITTING THE SAVE BUTTON BEFORE YOU HIT PUBLISH. FOR SOME REASON, IT WILL BE SAVED, YOU CAN STILL EDIT IT IF YOU WANT, AND YOU WILL KNOW IT HAS BEEN SAVED ON THE HOTEL BLISS SERVER.

Just so you know, here are some key functions below to make your blog look nicer:

If you want to BOLD your type, just click the B and type, or highlight what you would like to bold, then click the B. Click it again to turn it off.

If you want to ITALICIZE your type, just click the I and type, or highlight what you would like to italicize and click the I. Click it again to turn it off.

If you want to UNDERLINE your type, just click the U and type, or highlight what you would like to italicize and click the U. Click it again to turn it off.

If you want to STRIKE-THROUGH your type, just click the ABC and type, or highlight what you would like to italicize and click the ABC. Click it again to turn it off.

Those lines next to the ABC allow you to choose left, center, right or justify alignment for your paragraphs.

Want to add a link? First type what you want to become a link. (I often type “CLICK HERE” before I add the link, but you can type whatever you want to become a link.) Highlight the words and you will notice the little chain icon becomes active. Click on the chain and insert the URL address you want that link to connect to. Click on the broken link to disable the link.

There are more things you can do, but that is a basic overview.

SHALL WE PLAY A GAME?

For my 33rd birthday, I decided to have a slumber party. I invited my six sexiest bi-girl friends and told them they had to come in lingerie. These friends did not know one another, but they trusted me to invite girls like them: smart, sexy, savvy bi-girls.

My man and I spent an entire week getting the apartment ready for the big fest. I covered the floor in red and purple satin cushions and balloons draped ribbons from the ceiling. Candles were everywhere and the music playlist was just right - setting the stage for a sensational event. It was the slumber party I couldn’t have imagined as a little girl, but always wished could happen as an adult.

But before they could come to the party, I asked them to help me plan for the main event: THE GAME.

Even when girls know each other are bi, it is tricky to feel comfortable enough to be their open, flirtatious selves until they feel they KNOW the other girls. With my man’s assistance, we created a game to help my friends get to know one another.

A few days before the party, I e-mailed each of the girls, asking them to answer three questions and e-mail me their answers before the party.

The questions were:

1. WHAT IS THE NAUGHTIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?

2. WHAT IS A FANTASY THAT YOU HAVE MASTURBATED TO?

3. HOW DO YOU COME? (OR, WHAT MAKES YOU CLIMAX?)

Each girl sent me their answers, and I printed them out in the same font onto individual index cards. When they all had arrived, we began to play the game.

The first round was, What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

A girl picked one of the index cards and read the answer printed on it. She then had to guess who had written the answer. If she guessed right, she got to dare the girl to do something. If she guessed incorrectly, the girl who wrote the answer got to dare her to do something.

Let’s just say… we never got to round 3.

LET’S PLAY THIS GAME AT HOTEL BLISS. OBVIOUSLY, WE CANNOT DARE EACH OTHER TO DO THINGS IN THE CYBER WORLD, BUT THIS WILL HELP US TO GET TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER IN NEW AND FUN WAYS.

FIRST, COMMENT HERE SAYING YOU ARE IN. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWER HERE AS IT WILL GIVE THE ANSWER AWAY.

SECOND, E-MAIL ME THE ANSWER TO QUESTION ONE - “WHAT IS THE NAUGHTIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?”

STARTING NEXT MONDAY, I WILL POST ONE ANSWER A DAY ALONG WITH THE LIST OF PARTICIPANT NAMES. THE FIRST GIRL TO GUESS WHO WROTE THE ANSWER WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED AS A BLISS HOTEL GODDESS AND WILL THEN BE ABLE TO ASK A “TRUTH” QUESTION TO THE AUTHOR. EACH DAY, A NEW ANSWER WILL BE POSTED, ALONG WITH THE LAST PERSON’S “TRUTH” RESPONSE, UNTIL IT IS TIME FOR ROUND TWO.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR USER NAME

At anytime, you may change your user name to anything you want.

To change your name, first go to your Hotel Bliss control page.

Next to your profile picture, you will see Account Settings.

When you click on Account Settings, the first box you will see is Change Your Display Name. It looks like this:

Enter your new Display Name and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click SAVE.

Your new Display Name should now work.

HOW TO ADD PICTURES TO YOUR HOTEL ROOM

At Hotel Bliss, bi-girls and bi-friendly girls get to know you by visiting your Hotel Room. By using the profile editor, you can add text and change the colors of your room. One thing that you may not know, is you can decorate your hotel room with pictures and this blog will show you how.

1. CREATE A FREE PHOTO HOSTING ACCOUNT ON FLICKR.COM

2. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A YAHOO ADDRESS, CLICK ON THE LINK TO SIGN UP BELOW THE LOG IN BOX.

3. SIGN INTO FLICKR.COM AND THIS WINDOW WILL APPEAR.

4. CLICK ON UPLOAD YOUR FIRST PHOTO. NOW YOU CAN UPLOAD THE IMAGES YOU WANT TO DECORATE YOUR ROOM WITH.

5. ONCE YOUR PHOTOS ARE UPLOADED, CLICK ON THE IMAGE YOU WANT TO ADD TO YOUR ROOM. ABOVE THE IMAGE, YOU WILL SEE A LINK CALLED “ALL SIZES”. CLICK ON “ALL SIZES” TO SEE THE DIFFERENT SIZES YOUR IMAGE WILL BE ON YOUR PAGE.

6. PICK THE IMAGE SIZE YOU WANT. IN THIS EXAMPLE, WE PICKED THE MEDIUM SIZE.

7. UNDER THE IMAGE IT SAYS, COPY AND PASTE THIS HTML INTO YOUR WEBPAGE. COPY THE CODE AND GO BACK TO YOUR HOTEL BLISS PROFILE EDITOR.

8. IN YOUR PROFILE EDITOR, YOU CAN ADD IMAGES TO ANY OF THE PROFILE BOXES. JUST PAST THE HTML CODE FROM FLICKR.COM INTO THE BOX, LIKE THIS:

9. SAVE YOUR PROFILE AND THEN CLICK VIEW PROFILE. YOUR HOTEL ROOM WILL NOW HAVE PICTURES AND LOOK LIKE THIS:
